Where to Buy Motorcycle Gear Online

So the summer’s over and you need to get a new helmet, new boots or gloves or a jacket or race suit, where’s a good place to shop online? Here’s a chance for city bikers to give unpaid unsolicited plugs for decent online shops: Please let us know what your experience was, why you think it was good.
I’ll start us off with a staple of motorcycle gear, a little company called New Enough: Good gear at a fair price, with the best most helpful customer service of any online business I’ve used. They often have great deals in their Bargain Basement section. The only downside is that you have to pay for shipping, and from time to time I’m able to buy things elsewhere at slightly lower prices; but sometimes I order from them anyway, because they always ship quickly and answer the phone when I call customer service.

Go Power Rangers!
Another staple of online motorcycle gear is Extreme Supply. They have a good selection of helmets, and some of the lowest prices. The down side is…they can take a long time to ship. A really long time. Unacceptably long, without explanation, along with unresponsive customer service. I had an order that shipped 3 weeks after I placed the order, the customer service number went straight to voicemail and they never returned my calls or emails. But after about a month it showed up. Nevertheless, I still wind up buying from them sometimes because they do eventually come through, and they often have the best prices. So keep all that in mind.
A relative newcomer is Competition Accessories. They have some great deals on helmets! Right now they have Shoei helmets starting at $199, and 50% off on Shark helmets. They also carry a decent line of low and mid priced jackets; but they don’t carry most of the regular brand names in clothing (Joe Rocket, Alpinestars, etc). The only thing I’ve bought from them so far are two sets of tires, and so from what I know I’m happy to recommend them.
By the way we are NOT getting paid to promote these (not that I’m against that – feel free to send me a check guys), we just want to pass on some good places to check out. You can do the same. Let us know where you get your gear in the comments section. Cheers!

Gotta give my props to New Enough, too. They’re every bit as good as you describe, especially in the customer service dept. Competition Accessories is pretty good too, but I’ve had more buying experience with New Enough to feel 100% about them as a business.
agree with Extreme Supply. Totally hit or miss…so far for me, its been complete hit. I ordered 3 helmets from them, each time shipping within 2 business days, receiving it in about 5.
