Supermoto Madness

So what are those dirtbikes doing with 17 inch wheels? This is probably the most fun-to-watch kind of motorcycle racing there is: Supermoto. Why bother dragging your knee if you can drag an elbow?

You can really see how pronounced the counter steering is on that last sequence. Nice.
Amazing, of course putting the elbow down was more of a trick than anything that would actually help a racer, but it was still absolutely amazing. I like the cross pollinization of dirt track and sport bike in the fact that they were backing it into turns, but putting down knee pucks instead of boots.
Who says getting an elbow down isn’t practical?
