The city here has the same kind of meter as your Muni-Meter and it causes the same problem--there's no safe place to put the meter receipt. Usually, the best case scenario is if it's forwarded to a committee for review - at which point it won't be brought up again for a year or so until the committee has a recommendation. Otherwise it would be tabled. It wouldn't be brought up to a vote unless the person presenting the bill knew it stood a chance of passing or until it was approved by a committee... Usually a couple of years after it's introduced. So anyone know the status? I don’t know what the outcome of the proposal was. BTW: Notice that NOT ONE bike has a cover on it? I cover my bike when I park -- not because I'm some anal-retentive! It's a standard part of my attempt at damage/theft avoidance. (Alarm+Disc lock+Cover + Cover lock! = Maybe my bike will be in one piece when I get back.)
