Your chance to challenge the police!
Jul 9th, 2009 by Leo
Do you think you can do better? I’ve seen plenty of these police motorcycle “rodeo” videos. The courses are *ahem* not so challenging by gymkhana standards… And I think I could challenge the best of them…on a scooter anyway. I think I might even be able to do “okay” on my CBR600rr, although clipons make full lock turns tricky (I can turn up the idle). How about you? Think you can do it?
Well here’s your chance… Sept 19th in Brooklyn, NY Metro Motor Skills is bringing the competition to you (click for the site). And you can show the “popo” a thing or two. The only catch is, I think your bike (or the rider, one or the other) has to weigh at least 550 lbs and be at least 600cc. That pretty much means no scooters or sportbikes. Registration is only $25 to compete if you do so in advance, and there are three levels: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced.
So you got a cruiser? You got game? Go show them how it’s done!

Is there any way to find Don Helle from SRTT you mention?
I cant find him even by google search.
We want to take a course of gymkhana.
Thanks.
I don’t know him personally, but I think this is him – http://www.facebook.com/don.helle
You can send a message through FB. And I’m sure he can point you to other guys teaching the same types of course…
Let us know how that goes!
