Not a motorcycle…

For some reason people are forever trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to the motorcycle. Lower emissions and lower consumption (along with lower speed) is often the goal: There’s the one-wheeled (sort of…2 wheels side by side) motorcycle operating on the same principle as the Segway, the four wheeled motorcycle… And the popular three wheeled version by Piaggio. Here’s another take on a low powered, zero emission scooter substitute with a little bit of promise…
For you city dwellers, and near city dwellers, what do you think? What might it lack?

What it lacks? It lacks cool.
And that’s same thing the Seqway has against it, it’s just horribly lame. The reason motorcycles persist (at least in some part) is the fact that they are cool.
I may not be on a bike right now, but I’m sure as hell not going to be on one of these any time soon either. My feet work fine.

Personally, I can live with a lack of cool – but I’d like to be able to brake forcefully (if necessary) without planting my face on the sidewalk.
You need to be able to brake in a city with people and cars (unlike the city in the video which seems to be mainly buildings and a population of 12)…
This is also why I personally don’t like rollerblades as a form of transportation…
This is a total ripoff. They had the same thing on South Park.
I can see those people with their ipod humming their tunes and feeling good then they cross Canal St. and whap! There goes the bike. Looks too passive, and seems like your a handlebar rider.
If you could site on it an alternate way it might sell.
Notice they don’t show it stop.
The transformer aspect (like the toy) is great , but that thing will never survive the potholes and slippery construction steel plates that litter the roads here. Maybe in Sweden.
