Aprilia RSV4 R

For those of you who think a 600 sportbike in the city is overkill, I kindly ask that you avert your eyes. Is the RSV4 overkill? That’s like asking is Michael Phelps overkill in the swimming pool? Is Heidi Klum overkill on the runway? Is Donald Trump overkill on the hairpieces? Okay, so maybe it is overkill, but in a good way.
Unlike some other V4 superbikes that have come out recently – cough cough desmo cough – that aren’t more than the sum of its expensive carbon fiber parts, Marchesini rims, and Ohlin forks… and so difficult to ride the race version fast that only one guy in the world has managed to do – and he’s out sick…but I digress. Unlike THOSE bikes, the Aprilia really is extraordinary without the hype. Not only do you have adjustable suspension setting and electronics, you have an adjustable…engine mount? So that you can adjust the position of the engine for optimum weight distribution.
It doesn’t look special…actually I think it looks like the CBR 600rr’s, only with bigger headlights. And at just under 400lbs dry, it weighs about the same as the older 600’s, and its wheelbase is just an inch longer than an R6… But it’s got something along with its 180 hp… I wouldn’t call it “soul” – more like “finesse.”
So what do think of my next daily commuter? (I wish!)

Wow, I like it! Light and fast, I would give it a try for few days on my commute.
