Wow, that is neat. I found some more info on the ski in this vid:

It looks like an arm with ski and stirrup at one end, a pivot on the other at the motorcycle, and using a spring to retract it.
Ah I see – the skis are attached to the bike, and the rider just puts his foot on it… That’s better than having to walk around with little skis.
Keen eyes – it was hard to see even in that video you linked. Thanks!
