DIY Bodywork…

This is the Ion electric sportbike… And I believe it’s the senior project of a college design major Tom Miceli.. Nice job! The fact that it’s electric is interesting and gets him points with the treehugger crowd, but what’s really interesting to me is that the bike’s custom fiber glass fairings actually look good. With so many aftermarket mods for sportbikes you’d think there would be more examples of custom bodywork. Anyway, if you’re curious how he fabricated the bodywork, check out the video after the jump!
