Disco drive through Mexico City…
Jun 24th, 2010 by Leo
Roughly the size and population of New York City, only with much nicer roads (they don’t have winter ice and salt to eat up the asphalt) – this pretty ordinary looking commute makes me want to put on a white suit and take a road trip.

Man that looks like a nice ride! Its too damn hot where we are to ride 120F+ daily! I wish I was still riding in Cali! FYi love the videos you pot!
Can’t see why you said you would want to take a ride there. All I see is bumper to bumper traffic EVERYWHERE all day and straight roads. Thank goodness for motorcycles, I would be so frustrated sitting in a car there. Plus the guy passed a bus on the right in the right lane. You don’t have to go that far, just go up the Bronx River Pkwy or Merritt Pkwy. Scenic, curvy roads with more flowing traffic.
ps. Keep up the good work on the web site.
I love cities – especially NY, but others too (Mexico City is probably a lot closer to NY than other US cities). And I like the feeling of coming back from upstate or Jersey and riding home through the city… Sometimes the fun part of riding is having someplace worth going to.
But as far as traffic goes – this doesn’t look so bad to me! NY could use some palm trees.
