A scrappy city bike?
Jul 1st, 2010 by Leo
There are sportbikes, long distance tourers, dirt bikes, choppers…each category has unique requirements that might not belong to bikes in other categories, but makes perfect sense in its place. If there were a category for city-bike, then one would imagine cb’s would have to be maneuverable through tight traffic (no choppers or GoldWings please), easy to maintain (no Italian jobs), and easy to pick up off the ground if it gets knocked over – without causing a small fortune in damages (no shiny sportbikes). What kind of bike could possibly fit those requirements? Enter the Sachs Madass.
I don’t think anyone would give up any other bike for this, but there’s something odd and cool about it… And by the looks of it, you could practically throw it in your trunk or walk it into your apartment… practically.
Anyway, new to the US, you can start keeping an eye out for these on the road…
