Why you shouldn’t walk and text…

There are two times when I *almost* hit a pedestrian at a crosswalk, once it was just a dazed and confused person forgetting to look before jaywalking on a hot summer day… but the other day I nearly ran into a person who was crossing the street while texting… A van was stopped on my left, and I didn’t see her until she was right in front of me (at which point she looked up and froze while I skidded to a stop). So if pedestrians are no longer afraid of being run over, we’ll just have to send out the bears.
