Dude, check your mirrors…

I’m not sure what to think about this video. On the one hand it’s funny that this rollerblader was able to tow himself by grabbing onto the back of a sportbike going cross town. On the other hand, I’m worried for the rollblader’s safety. But on the third hand (yes we have three now) he could always let go at any time, and dude you should be able to manage your own safety… Nevertheless, I think this makes rollerblading exponentially more dangerous than riding a motorcycle.

Funny story, my girlfriend tried this on a long board being towed by a civic the last time she journeyed to her familial nest. She fell (big surprise) and when next I saw her she was covered in road rash. When I asked her why she wasn’t wearing her motorcycle armor her face went blank; she had forgotten it was in the trunk of her car.
So if you’re going to expose yourself to the same (or greater) dangers of being on a motorcycle, take the same precautions.
